Excellentia per Societatem

Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest universities in the east of England, with five faculties and six research institutes based in three campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough. We are proud to be a modern university with history. Our root dates back to 1858 when John Ruskin opened the Cambridge School of Art which is part of our Cambridge campus now.

The University now has over 39,000 students, including 2,700 international students of over 177 nationalities. We value our students and endeavor to provide the best quality of support to our students. For 5 successive years Anglia Ruskin has been named among the top 350 universities in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. For 2021 Anglia Ruskin is placed joint 38th in the UK.

We are academically ambitious and pride ourselves on being as enterprising as we are innovative and nurture those qualities in our students. Our courses are designed with a strong focus on practicality and skill training to improve student employability. All students are provided employability supports during their study, including career advice, interview skills training as well as internship and part-time job opportunities. Links with industry have always been important to us. In 2012, we launched our MedTech campus. One of the world’s largest health innovation spaces, it gives companies of all sizes access to research expertise, specialist staff, testing and clinical trials.
Catch our entrepreneurial spirit.
